Find me on Substack!

October 2009, I posted my first short missive on corinnaborden.com. I referenced Dan Millman, the Chicago marathon, and the precept of “there are no ordinary days”. A month later I posted an introduction of myself as the latest food writer for our local paper - outing myself as a chopstick devotee and food justice advocate.

For almost two years my writing centered around my learnings as a neophyte food advocate: justice, health, and yummy recipes from our backyard chickens and small veggie garden. Then I shared the marketing of my book, I Dreamt of Sausage, before heading to Germany for yet another cancer treatment.

Over the years I have focused on myriad topics: gratitude for my miraculous unfolding life, BothAnd ponderings, merging with God, bouncing off of A Course in Miracles, and spiritual explorations at close by (Jai Jai Amma, Mary Magdalene learnings) and far away (10,000 people attending the World Peace Assembly in Hyderabad, plant medicine in Peru).

A series I dubbed Farm Beginnings morphed into Homesteading Middles after I completed my permaculture training … now I call it Stewarding Stories. In September 2018, I began Letters to My Children to complement my posts detailing our four years of homeschooling (rock cycle puppy pile, yes please!). More recently, I have been diving into Anti-racism, a term I designated Somatic Capitalism, and Human Supremacy, a term coined by Arkan Lushwala.

The demarcation of this month, my fiftieth birthday month, offers me a chance to reflect, assess, and adjust. As such, I am moving my blog over to Substack in the hopes it will reach a wider audience. It appears my website is barraged by AI bots (1000+ visits a day for 18 seconds with a 97% bounce = yup, AI bot). Hopefully Substack has ways to deal with such things.

All I wanted to do when I was in (my second) bone marrow lockdown (before the medicine kicked my ass… for months) was create/forge/emote/write. CREATE!

So, here I am Substack - warts and all. Cheers to at least another 17 years of creating and making ripples in the world. I look forward to connecting.

My life vision is to identify my Cranky Monster and be brave enough to speak from and for The Good.

Let’s do this thing!
